Art/Not Terminal

I have been invited to take part in "Rock the Terminal" at Art/Not Terminal. This is a HUGE show, featuring the work of almost 60 of Seattle's best artists, and includes painting, sculpture, prints, photography, assemblage -- truly something for everyone. The show opens Saturday, December 3, from 6 - 10 p.m., and there also will be a special Artist's Reception coinciding with the Belltown Art Walk on Thursday, December 15, from 7 - 10 p.m. The reception will feature music by The Glass Notes, Tim Bertsch, and Angelo Delsenno, plus performance by Acep the Magician. And it's just in time for the holidays. Fancy that. . . .

Art/Not Terminal is at 2045 Westlake Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121, two blocks south of the Whole Foods at Westlake and Denny. The show runs from December 3 through January 5, 2012. Don't miss it!

October 2011
Nautilus Studio

The Games of Pain and Sorrow will be on display at Nautilus Studio (5913-B Airport Way S.) during October -- just in time for Halloween! The opening reception is on October 8, in conjunction with the Georgetown Art Attack. Nautilus is one of the coolest, quirkiest, most nautical spaces in Seattle (check out the slideshow on their website!), and Spyder and Yvette who captain the vessel are some of the nicest folks you will ever meet, so come out for some creepy good times!

2011 Annual Washington State Juried Art Competition

For the second year in a row I have been selected to participate in "The CVG Show," an annual exhibition of art from all across the state of Washington. The show is held at Collective Visions Gallery in Bremerton and runs throughout February, including during Bremerton's First Friday Art Walk. The month-long extravaganza includes lectures, a panel discussion, and a concert. Bremerton is a scenic one-hour ferry ride from Seattle, so get over there if you can! November 2010
Vista Studios/Gallery 80808 20th Anniversary Exhibition

The co-op studio/gallery I was part of in Columbia is celebrating its 20th anniversary in November with a special exhibition of new works by most past and present members, including myself. The Exhibition will be an official part of the citys annual Vista Lights art celebration.

Vista Studios opened in August 1990 as an early project in revitalization efforts of the Congaree Vista. Vista Studios began as a joint venture of the Columbia Development Corporation and the South Carolina Arts Commission. It has matured along with the Vista into one of Columbia's (and South Carolina's) premier visual arts studios.

Here is a short history of Vista Studios/Gallery 80808. Pictures of the event are here, including a couple of close-ups of my piece.
